List of best acne treatments and top acne treatments and proactiv

Many things in the kitchen have medicinal uses. Something as simple as the oatmeal can actually be used as an acne reducing mask. If you want to try a homemade acne mask, simply combine a half cup of quick cook oats with enough honey to make a pastel. Apply gently to your face and then allow it to dry for about fifteen minutes. Once it has dried, you can remove the mask with a wet wash cloth. As you remove it, you should gently rotate the cloth in tight circles over the surface of your face. This procedure will allow the oatmeal to exfoliate your skin.
Active ingredients in creams also may make a difference in the type that is chosen to combat acne. The most common active ingredient found in acne creams is benzoyl peroxide. The amount in the cream should be small for mild to moderate acne, because too much of this can dry out the skin and lead to other complications later on. Most creams in stores are about 2 or 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. For more severe acne, a higher concentration, such as a 10% solution may be recommended by a dermatologist. Alcohol is another common ingredient. Much like benzoyl peroxide, you will find this in your acne creams in very minute amounts because using it too much in the cream would dry out the skin. It is important to know that you should always try acne treatments on a small portion of skin because their is a chance that your skin may be allergic to the chemicals within the acne cream.
While nobody welcomes acne, the fact is that many people will have to deal with the condition at one point in their life. Regardless of whether it is a one time breakout or simply a phase that a person has to go through, the importance of proper acne skin care cannot be over emphasized.
